Want to Start a Career in Computer Programming?

There are four paths:

  • 4 Year CS Degree
  • 2 Year Programming Degree
  • Coding Bootcamp
  • Self Study

If you have the time and money, then a 4 year CS degree from a respected university is the way to go, but that’s not an option for many people.

If college isn’t an option because you work, you already have a degree, or any other reason, a bootcamp might work for you.

Why a Coding Bootcamp?

At any given moment there are hundreds of unfilled jobs for programmers in the Atlanta area.

Typically programs run from 8-20 weeks and average around $1,000 per week depending on which bootcamp you choose.

Bootcamps tend to be much more hands-on than college programs, and you end up with a portfolio of work to show potential employers.

Bootcamps also tend to have great outcomes for most students.

According to Course Report

“66% of graduates surveyed report being employed in a full-time job requiring the skills learned at bootcamp, with an average salary increase of 38%”.

“The typical bootcamper is 31 years old, has 7.6 years of work experience, has at least a Bachelor’s degree, and has never worked as a programmer.”

Chief Instructor Jeff Ammons

There’s no substitute for experience and our Chief Instructor, Jeff Ammons, has been writing code professionally in the Atlanta area for over 25 years.

One of our student’s had this to say about our Introduction to Web Development class:

The JavaScript programming is wonderful! The instructor presents the information in a very understandable way and makes you comfortable as you are learning the materials.

Jeff, the instructor, is very knowledgeable in a variety of programing topics, allowing him to answer an array of “off topic” questions and tie them into the JavaScript programming. A real plus!
